Aerospace & Defence

For many years, the defence industry has developed a structured approach (Systems Engineering) for producing information in order to increase "up time" through preventive and scheduled maintenance and the opportunity to quickly replace parts in the field.

Systems Engineering is the fundamental approach to calculate the potential to achieve system requirements. Customer needs and demands on functionality are defined early in the development cycle and requirements are documented as a base for development. Systems Engineering integrates all disciplines, product development, production, and documentation and training to lay the foundations for a structured development process that goes from concept to production and product use. The goal is to create conditions for the delivery of a high quality product that meets customer needs throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Maintenance documents must include information on maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, spare parts, tools for repair, and more. They should be simple and easy to understand, and preferably illustrated with pictures. To ensure quality in the production of complex products and their documentation, Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) is often carried out and includes information analysis of the requirements specification and design, reliability, FMECA (failure mode analysis), user analysis (Man Machine Interface) and activity analysis and spare parts preparation.

At Condesign we have extensive experience in developing and project managing documentation according to defence standards . We have extensive experience in managing engineering drawings and producing picture based communication such as animations. Our specialists in product marketing also have skills that are valued in the industry.
