Efficient aftersales documentation In recent years, the demand for defense industry supply of aftermarket materials to the customer involved a major challenge. This applies to the expanded amount of information to maintain the high quality and meet delivery requirements, while the need to address the increased product complexity. Condesign has many years as a supplier to the defense industry, a proven delivery capability and the skills required to manage the ILS / LSA process. These conditions have created the challenge of managing the cost base and fluctuations in workload. There has been a demand for increased efficiency in the implementation and system-/verktygsutnyttjande.
Condesign have developed close cooperation with the defense industry where we share our experiences and knowledge with regard to use of effective support systems. We then support continuously at peak production, and with the resources at your location, but also via the connection from our offices in the country.
The defense industry has now created a more efficient flow through better reuse of CAD in the production of aftermarket documentation. The efficiency per share has increased through increased synergies between documents and a more effective use of illustrations. This, together with reduced text production has raised the educational quality and reduced translation costs while increasing opportunities for recycling has increased. Then there are higher demands on effective training for technicians and operators in connection with the delivery has Condesign developed processes for recycling the technical documentation for the Computer Based Training alto. traditional training.
Customer: Försvarsindustri Technical Information for the Construction Industry The customer had marketing materials and installation instructions in the same document, and thus had too much information to marketing purposes while the updates of the installation instructions lagged behind, partly due to printing costs. The customer wanted to reduce the amount of text and produce clearer installation instructions. The product documentation is regarded as a key part of the product, not only for the installer but also to get a properly installed finished product, which is a strong competitive advantage. There is also money to be saved in support when highlighting the right steps in the assembly instructions.
Condesign made a first, separate, installation instruction that was clearer and more image-based. We also produced a style guide that specifies how the installation instructions should be made in the future.
It is now much easier for Icopal to keep their documentation updated. Their marketing material now has a longer lifespan and is more expensive to print than the installation instructions. The amount of text to be maintained has been reduced and the installation instructions are more clearly profiled. We are redoing the installation instructions as guidelines for Icopal’s new style.
