Private Label Development in Retail

The retail chain needs to increase sales of their own brands, private label products. Products need to be clearly positioned for quick recognition on the shelf. The graphic production must also be more effective.

Previous private labels are replaced with a newly created, comprehensive label allowing for precise price polarisation within the brand. Condesign builds the brand platform and develops the graphic identity and packaging. Guidelines are created so that all layout work in the future can be carried out by suppliers in low cost countries.

Our efforts have contributed to a clearer and stronger brand. The streamlining of the work that was previously each product owner’s responsibility results in a reduced workload and an increased resource utilisation. Suppliers in low cost countries can now produce the packaging according to the concept.

Picturebased Information on new Packaging Design

With increased exposure in the international marketplace, Trelleborg had a growing need for translated information on its packaging. They also had a need to clarify their profile in the marketplace and create a strong identity in accordance with Trelleborg's overall graphic identity.

Condesign helped Trelleborg Sealing streamline the information on the retail packaging. By making packages textless, replacing text with clear illustrations, Trelleborg’s brand was clarified and the intuitive understanding of the use of their products has increased.

Our approach has been firmly based on the target group, creating a streamlined profile that is timeless and clear. With the information textless, translation costs were reduced and the need for a separate user guide disappeared.
